Look for skill is a new free web platform for cultural and creative services in Europe. The concept was developed and realized by a small family company in Sweden in the hope of contributing to the creation of new business opportunities for cultural and creative service providers – at local, national, and international levels. Look for skill also aims to promote cross-border cooperation.

The Look for skill web platform was published in July 2017 and presented widely in Visby, Sweden. It was there that such a cooperation became highly relevant: a surprise and a small “success story” at the same time for Inger Boman and her daughter Alexandra, who have been behind the concept and development of this web platform together for several years.

Two graphics from a serigraph by Inger Boman in my possession served as templates for two silk twill scarves in the size 120 x 120 cm. In connection with the reconstruction of a historical fabric, I had already had very positive experiences with GetYourScarf, and now this experience has been repeated: the templates were taken out of their frames, scanned at a high resolution of 600 dpi, and sent to GetYourScarf by email. With the personal and professional guidance and advice from Manuel Maisch, I soon held the two motifs in my hands, featuring the matching color tone of the edges and the lettering “©2010/2017 Inger Boman Design – LookForSkill – GetYourScarf” in the most elegant silk quality. The two scarves were worn by Inger and Alexandra on the day of the Look for skill presentation and are concrete proof of the relevance and validity of the web platform.
